Radley Cancels Wedding After Roosters Fine

Victor Radley, a forward for the Sydney Roosters, has faced significant challenges in his NRL career after being implicated in a drug-related scandal alongside former teammate Brandon Smith. Recent revelations indicate that the consequences of this incident are even more profound.

Radley had planned to marry his now-pregnant fiancée at the end of next year, having proposed in December. However, these wedding plans have been dashed due to a 10-match suspension without pay, along with a fine of $30,000, which will be donated to St Vincent's Hospital for charitable research.

The financial repercussions of this situation have led Radley to make the distressing decision to cancel his wedding. The combined loss of the fine and the $150,000 he would have earned during his suspension has made it impossible for him to proceed with their plans.

"My missus isn't too happy," Radley told Nine.

"We've canned the wedding, we were meant to get married at the end of next year."

He acknowledged that they were actively planning their special day when the sanction was imposed, and now they will face difficulties affording the wedding.
