R360 has set its sights on a star from the Manly Sea Eagles, namely Tolutau Koula. The club is facing challenges retaining key players, having already failed to secure Daly Cherry-Evans and still negotiating with Tom Trbojevic, putting Koula's future in jeopardy as he attracts interest from rival codes.
As the November 1 deadline approaches for some of the NRL's top talents to hit the open market, Koula's position remains uncertain. He has established himself as one of the most reliable players for the Sea Eagles in recent years.
With the capability to play in various positions along the back-line, the Tongan international, who has made 82 NRL appearances, is just at the beginning of his career and has showcased his promising potential.
However, it appears that Koula's tenure with the Sea Eagles may be coming to an end sooner rather than later. Reportedly, according to News Corp, Koula is among the latest NRL luminaries being pursued by the upstart rugby union competition, R360.
With the opportunity to engage with rival teams beginning on November 1, Koula also holds a player option in his contract that would secure his position with the Sea Eagles for an additional season, extending his stay until the conclusion of the 2027 NRL season.
The ambiguity surrounding Koula's future is further intensified by the situation of his teammate, Reuben Garrick, who is also set to enter the open market on the same date, following stalled negotiations with the Sea Eagles.
