Queensland's next generation of State of Origin representatives will gather in Brisbane this Sunday, as reported by dolphinsnrl.com.au.
The Queensland Under 19 Emerging Origin squad, consisting of 30 talented players, has a strong representation from Hostplus Cup clubs and several rising stars contracted to interstate NRL clubs.
Head coach Matt Ballin, a man who knows the ins and outs of the game, will guide the squad through the expectations and roles that come with wearing the maroon jersey, while also instilling them with the famous 'Maroon DNA'.
Assisting Ballin in this important task will be Former Origin Greats such as Darius Boyd, Matt Gillett, and Antonio Kaufusi, who know what it takes to succeed at the highest level.
This camp serves as a crucial part of Queensland's preparations leading up to the clash against New South Wales on June 20 at Sydney's Leichhardt Oval.
It is worth noting that the 2024 Emerging Origin squad boasts an impressive seven players who were part of last year's memorable match against the young Blues.
With such promising talent coming through the ranks, Queensland supporters have reason to be excited and hopeful for their team's future.
