Queensland has revealed their lineup for the inaugural match of the 2026 Women's State of Origin series, showcasing three newcomers.
Phoenix-Raine Hippi, Chantay Kiria-Ratu, and Otesa Pule are set to make their debut for the Maroons, having shown exceptional talent during the pre-season Origin events.
In contrast, the squad retains a solid foundation of seasoned players, including Tamika Upton, Lauren Brown, Julia Robinson, and Romy Teitzel.
Unfortunately, Tarryn Aiken is out of action due to an ACL injury, and captain Ali Brigginshaw has stepped away from the Origin competition.
Additionally, Shannon Mato is unable to participate because of a hamstring injury, while Tavarna Papalii, Georgia Hannaway, Sophie Holyman, and Jasmine Peters have been removed from the roster.
The Maroons are set to launch their Origin journey on April 30, with the opening match taking place at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle.
