Six new players have been added to the Queensland Maroons squad for the upcoming Women's State of Origin series.
NRL.com.au reports that Cowboys center Jasmine Peters, along with emerging talents Georgia Hannaway, Hayley Maddick, Jada Ferguson, Rory Owen, and Tavarna Papalii, have all earned their first call-up.
The new faces will be joining experienced players such as Ali Brigginshaw, Tamika Upton, and Julia Robinson.
The team will be without last year's stars Shannon Mato and Evania Pelite, who announced they will miss the upcoming season due to pregnancy.
The Maroons will be looking to defend their title in the upcoming Origin series, with Game I set to take place at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday, May 1 as part of Magic Round.
