Queensland has been accused of a 'cowardly' act after a lack of Queensland spirit was on display following the State of Origin decider.

Despite the talk of Maroons 'getting' State of Origin more than NSW, the fans didn't show it after Wednesday night's intense showdown at Suncorp Stadium.

NSW ended an extraordinary 19-year drought by winning Game 3 with a score of 14-4, marking the first decider the Blues have taken at Suncorp since 2005.

This victory only marks the third time in Origin history that a NSW side has won a deciding Game 3 in Brisbane, following the 1994 and 2005 teams.

The stadium was packed with passionate Maroons fans during the game, but they were noticeably absent during the post-match presentation.

The scenes turned ugly for captain Daly Cherry-Evans, as he faced a chorus of boos from fans at his home ground as he made his way to the stage.

The majority of Queensland supporters failed to show their support for the defeated team, leaving DCE to endure the boos from the remaining NSW fans.

TV viewers were quick to highlight the shocking sight of a Queensland captain being booed at Suncorp, with Maroons fans branded as 'cowards' for not standing by their team until the very end.

The treatment was described as 'poor' and 'classless' from the Blues supporters who resorted to booing.
