Queensland fans may be feeling a bit salty about the Blues calling up James Tedesco, but let's not forget that this is just par for the course in the world of NRL.
According to the head honcho of footy at the NRL, Graham Annesley, there have been six instances since 2018 where players have been brought in late to a State of Origin squad, so the Blues' move is nothing out of the ordinary.
Despite the complaints from the Maroons camp about Tedesco swooping in to replace the injured Dylan Edwards, it's worth noting that Queensland has also made similar last-minute changes in the past.
In fact, just last year they brought in Ben Hunt, Xavier Coates, and Coen Hess to beef up their squad.
Annesley has confirmed that over 130 team list applications have been approved in the NRL since 2021, showing that this kind of roster shuffling is all part and parcel of the game.
So, before we start crying foul about Tedesco's inclusion, let's remember that this is just business as usual in the world of footy.
After all, as they say, you win some, you lose some, and in the game of Rugby League, you've got to be ready to roll with the punches.
Let's just sit back, crack open a cold one, and enjoy the show.
Go Blues!
