Promising Panther Secures Long-Term Deal

Panthers Secure Rising Star Forward with New Contract

Promising talent Billy Phillips has solidified his future with the Penrith Panthers by signing a contract extension that will keep him with the team until the conclusion of the 2029 season.

This 20-year-old forward's new agreement follows a swift ascent through the club's ranks. He made his debut in the NSW Cup last year, showcasing his skills with a standout performance in round one that featured two tries, 723 tackles, and an impressive 2,058 run meters. His exceptional play led to his NRL debut during round 26 of the same season, marking a pivotal step in his professional journey.

Shane Elford, the Panthers General Manager, acknowledged Phillips's growth and dedication, highlighting both his on-field skills and off-field character.

"Billy is a quality young player who represents the Club strongly on and off the field," Elford noted.

"He's extremely hardworking and has taken his opportunity in first grade with two hands this season."

"He's come through the system and understands what it means to represent the Panthers. We're excited to see his continued growth over the coming years."
