Powell was a standout player for the Tigers, who went on to win the Premiership after a 32-year title drought.
In the grand final, Powell opened the scoring by barging his way through the defence and slamming the ball down next to the posts.
Throughout the season, Powell displayed his attacking skills by scoring eight tries and making 40 tackle breaks in his 21 appearances.
His strong performances earned him the Forward of the Year award at the Brisbane Tigers Player of the Year Awards night.
Powell's running game and hard-hitting defence were on full display, as he accumulated 699 post contact metres and made 477 tackles with an impressive 93% efficiency rate.
With these statistics, it is clear that Powell has a bright future ahead of him in the NRL.
