In a move that has the Melbourne Storm faithful cheering from the sidelines, the club has announced that Frank Ponissi, the Director of Football, has inked a new deal to stay on board.

With 17 years under his belt at the club, Ponissi has been a key player in the Storm's success, forming a dynamic duo with head coach Craig Bellamy that rivals some of the great partnerships in sporting history.

Since joining the Storm back in 2007, Ponissi has been instrumental in the club's four premiership wins and their impressive streak of 14 consecutive finals appearances.

His role has also seen him take charge of the development of the Storm's male pathways and junior representative programs, giving young talent a chance to shine on the big stage.

Speaking about his continued commitment to the club, Ponissi expressed his excitement for what the future holds, especially with the new pathways programs set to bear fruit in the coming years.

With his experience and passion for the game, Ponissi is set to keep driving the Storm towards even greater heights, cementing his place in the annals of Rugby League history.
