In a classic league shake-up, former NRL maestro Josh Drinkwater is now seeking greener pastures after his stint with the Warrington Wolves in the Super League.

The buzz around town is that he won't be re-signing with the Wolves after the 2024 season wraps up.

Having last seen NRL action back in 2015, this seasoned player, also known as the big bro to North Queensland Cowboys' dazzler Scott Drinkwater, took his talents overseas in 2016.

Since then, Josh has been a globe-trotting dynamo, weaving his magic on the field for the Leigh Leopards, Catalans Dragons, Hull Kingston Rovers, and finally, the Wolves.

He even had a brief dance with the London Broncos in 2014, sandwiched between his NRL adventures.

With a box full of memories and experiences, Drinkwater shared, "I've had a ripper time at the club and have rubbed shoulders with some top-notch legends in the game, from the fearless owner Simon Moran to the whole squad and crew."

Now, the stage is set for Drinkwater to dive back into the NRL scene, where a fresh start and a new team may await his arrival.
