Canterbury Bulldogs GM of Football, Phil Gould, has given an update on the condition of six injured players as the club prepares to face the Cronulla Sharks.

Gould provided the latest injury update on Enari Tuala, Jacob Kiraz, Jake Turpin, Matt Burton, Samuel Hughes, and Viliame Kikau.

Turpin, who has been sidelined for a significant amount of time, is set to be available for selection and will make his return through the NSW Cup this week if he completes all training.

Kiraz, Burton, and Kikau are all expected to make their return in Round 7 after the bye, with all three players set to slot straight into the first-grade side.

Kiraz, who was one of the Bulldogs' best players during the 2024 campaign and was in line to make his debut for the Australian Kangaroos, has yet to play this season due to a back injury sustained last year.

Turpin will be making his return this week, while Kiraz, Burton, and Kikau will be back in action in Round 7.

Gould's update provides insight into the timeline for the return of the injured players and gives fans hope that the team will be back to full strength soon.

The news will be a boost for the Bulldogs as they look to turn their season around and put in strong performances against their upcoming opponents.

The return of these key players will be crucial in helping the team achieve their goals for the season and compete at the highest level.
