Willie Peters Urges Hull KR to End Tenure on a High Note
Willie Peters has urged his Hull KR players to transform the emotions surrounding his upcoming departure into a powerful finale for their successful era.
He will conclude his time at Craven Park after this season, driven by his aspiration to coach in the NRL with the new PNG Chiefs.
During his leadership, the Robins broke a 40-year trophy drought, achieving a treble in 2025, and solidified their legacy by clinching a World Club Challenge victory over the Brisbane Broncos in February.
While Peters acknowledged that the moment was right to end his celebrated chapter in Humberside, he affirmed that there's still much at stake before bidding farewell.
"It was no secret I wanted to head to the NRL but it didn't make my decision any easier, and it certainly won't make it any easier when it's time to go and say goodbye to people we care about and who naturally care about us.
"We've got eight months to make sure we go out on a high, and to be fully committed to the cause and what's ahead."
