Legendary halfback Peter Sterling, a four-time premiership-winning hero of the Parramatta Eels, has made a triumphant return to his beloved club.
Playing his entire NRL career in the Blue and Gold jersey, Sterling is revered as one of the greatest to ever grace the rugby league field for the Eels, taking part in an impressive 228 matches over 15 seasons from 1978 to 1992.
Basking in the glory of four premiership victories in 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1986, Sterling's illustrious career led him to a well-deserved place in the Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame.
Now, his homecoming to the Eels sees him take on the role of ambassador for the Eels foundation, as they embark on a new chapter under the guidance of coach Jason Ryles amidst the departure of key players such as Clint Gutherson, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, and Maika Sivo.
"It's an exhilarating new dawn here at the Eels.
Members, fans, and partners have the chance to rally behind the club's long-term vision and uphold its legacy, ensuring the position as one of the strongest sporting organizations in the nation for years to come, both on the field and off," expressed Sterling with passion.
