The roster of the Perth Bears is beginning to solidify, as the NRL's latest franchise adds important talent to its forward line.
Following a year with the Wests Tigers, forward Mavrik Geyer is reportedly set to leave the club and has made arrangements to join the Perth Bears starting in 2027.
At 25 years old, Geyer, who was recently integrated into the Tigers' setup, is believed to have secured a spot with the new emerging team as it constructs its first roster.
Fans of Perth rugby league might recognize the Geyer name; Mavrik's father, Mark Geyer, notably played for the Western Reds, competing in 32 matches between 1995 and 1997.
Although specifics about Geyer's contract with Perth are yet to be officially revealed, his departure adds to the expanding list of athletes associated with the new club as it comes together.
