The Perth Bears have officially announced their fifth and sixth signings, welcoming Liam Henry and Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui to the team for their inaugural season.

Both players have been considered potential additions to the Bears for some time. Henry is recognized as one of the top young forwards in the sport, while Fa'asuamaleaui is set to leave the Gold Coast Titans after the 2025 season before heading to the Catalans Dragons in France for 2026. He will then join the Bears.

Henry has signed a four-year contract that will keep him with the Bears until the end of 2030. He is expected to take on a senior position within the team.

Having played predominantly off the bench for the past two seasons, Henry has demonstrated his talent while playing behind veterans Moses Leota and Lindsay Smith at Penrith. With 50 NRL games already completed, he will add one more season in Penrith's system before relocating to Perth.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to be a part of history and continue my career with the Perth Bears from 2027," Henry stated in a club announcement. "It's not every day you get the chance to be a part of a new team in a new city and it's that opportunity that excites me the most."
