The Panthers' youngsters have pulled off a sensational upset, defying the odds and proving their worth on the field.

With their NRL stars off gallivanting in Las Vegas, it was up to the NSW Cup players to step up to the plate - and boy, did they deliver.

In a 38-22 victory over a Manly side missing key players like the Trbojevic brothers and Daly Cherry-Evans, the Panthers showcased their depth and talent.

The likes of Trent Toelau, usually playing second fiddle to other players, stole the show with a try and some impressive assists.

Winger David Fale also had a standout performance, scoring a double to help secure the win.

Toelau, who only had limited game time last season, displayed his versatility and skill set, making crucial plays that helped his team dominate the first half with a commanding 22-4 lead.

With only six players boasting NRL experience, the Panthers proved that they have a strong production line of players ready to step up when needed.

It was a gutsy performance from a team that faced a formidable opponent, with Manly failing to mount any significant threat except for a brief flurry in the second half.

The Panthers' victory should serve as a warning to the rest of the NRL - they may be young, but they are mighty and ready to take on anyone who underestimates them.
