Penrith's Yeo left feeling blue about missed challenge

Penrith co-captain Isaah Yeo disappointed his team can’t compete in World Club Challenge

Penrith co-captain Isaah Yeo has expressed his disappointment that his team will not be competing in the World Club Challenge next year, the only trophy they have yet to claim during their NRL dominance.

Despite their desire to add this accolade to their collection, Yeo acknowledged the challenges of scheduling and player workload that have led to the decision.

The Panthers, who have enjoyed four years of premiership success, will not face off against the winner of the Super League decider due to their upcoming commitment in Las Vegas for the start of the 2025 season.

Yeo, who was named Penrith's player of the year, recognizes the missed opportunities in previous attempts at the World Club Challenge against St Helens and Wigan.

While expressing a desire to take on the challenge, Yeo understands the practicalities that have led to the decision.

"You'd love to get it on, I just don't know you could work it, to be fair," he commented at a recent fan celebration event following the Panthers' grand final victory.
