Parramatta Eels dynamo Will Penisini is on the verge of making a big decision about his future with the club, as the Jason Ryles era kicks off.
The star centre is currently off-contract until the end of 2026, but negotiations have been ongoing since November 1, 2024.
The final year of his deal includes a player option, giving him some leverage in discussions.
Penisini is not the only player at the Eels with decisions to make, as Dylan Brown and Mitchell Moses also have options in their contracts.
However, it seems that Penisini's loyalty lies with the blue and gold, as he has expressed his desire to stay put after training hard during the off-season under the guidance of Ryles.
This news is sure to be a comforting sign for the club, its supporters, and Penisini's teammates.
With the Ryles revolution underway, it looks like the Eels may have secured a key player for the long haul.
