The Payne Game: Haas on the Radar of "Some Sydney Clubs"

Payne Haas, a front-rower for the NSW Blues and Brisbane Broncos, is gaining attention from "some Sydney clubs" as he approaches free agency on November 1, when he will be able to negotiate with other teams.

According to zerotackle.com, Haas is regarded as one of the finest props in rugby league history.

He has achieved significant accolades including multiple Paul Morgan medals (Broncos Player of the Year), various Dally M Prop of the Year awards, and the 2019 Dally M Rookie of the Year honor.

He has also played in a Grand Final and represented Australia and the NSW Blues.

Currently in the prime of his career, Haas is poised to become one of the largest free agents in NRL history when his contract expires at the end of the 2026 season.

As of November 1, he will be free to engage in discussions with rival teams.

Haas, already among the highest-paid forwards in the league, could potentially secure a deal that would place him as the highest-paid player overall, surpassing Kalyn Ponga and Nathan Cleary.

Although his manager has indicated that negotiations with the Broncos will not commence until the end of the current season, Haas is already weighing his future options, attracting interest from Sydney clubs.
