The Bulldogs' Academy teams had a mixed bag of results over the weekend, with the women's teams dominating the Bunnies, but the men's teams falling short away from home.
"This weekend's games really showed the strength of the women's teams, they absolutely demolished South Sydney," said Coach Smith, beaming with pride.
Next week, the Bulldogs are set to face the Newcastle Knights, with all four sides gearing up for a tough battle on the field.
"Shanthie Liu is really stepping up her game and leading the charge in scoring points for us.
She's like a bulldog charging down the field towards the try line," Coach Smith commented on the star player.
Winger Raneh Siteine also had a standout performance, scoring an impressive six tries in the match.
"We may have stumbled this weekend, but the men's teams will regroup and bounce back stronger than ever.
Like true bulldogs, they never back down from a challenge," Coach Smith added confidently.
