The Bulldogs suffered their first defeat of the season against the Broncos, losing 42-18 in wet conditions at Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos took an early lead with two quick tries, and the Bulldogs struggled to keep up after prop Josh Curran was sin binned for a high tackle.

Despite wearing the 1935 Commemorative Jersey, a homage to the Club's first side, the Bulldogs were unable to overcome the Broncos' strong performance.

Deine Mariner and Adam Reynolds tried to rally the Bulldogs with some impressive plays, including a try off a Reynolds cross-field kick.

However, the Broncos continued to dominate, scoring two more tries while Curran was sidelined.

Jesse Arthars scored the Broncos' sixth try, sealing their victory over the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will need to regroup after this defeat and come back stronger in their next game.

Coach Trent Barret lamented the loss, saying, "We were outplayed tonight, full credit to the Broncos they were too good for us." Captain Josh Jackson also acknowledged the team's shortcomings, stating, "We need to learn from this and come back better next week."

Despite the disappointing result, the Bulldogs remain determined to improve and make a comeback in the next game.

Barret emphasized the importance of bouncing back from this defeat, saying, "We need to take this on board and move forward.

We have to be better and we will be better next week." The team will have to focus on their mistakes from this game and work on refining their strategies for future matches.

With a positive attitude and hard work, the Bulldogs may be able to turn their season around and get back on track towards success.
