Parramatta are expected to strengthen their forward pack by signing Spencer Leniu for the 2027 season, with a four-year contract through to the end of 2030 likely.
News Corp reports the Eels and Sydney Roosters have agreed to delay announcing the move until the season ended, to avoid disrupting the Roosters' premiership campaign.
Leniu collected his fourth premiership ring on Sunday night after helping the Roosters secure a one-point grand final victory.
He had been left on the bench for the full preliminary final against the Dolphins, but made an impact during a short grand final appearance.
Reports had previously linked him with the PNG Chiefs, and Leniu had spoken out against speculation that he would change clubs.
At Parramatta, he is expected to take on a bigger role, although he could remain a reserve if the club re-signs Junior Paulo, whose negotiations are continuing.
The Eels are also set to have returning forward J'maine Hopgood and Jaydn Su'A, while Jack Williams is likely to stay at lock.
Parramatta hope the additions will help Jason Ryles lift the struggling club up the ladder in 2027.
