Parramatta could end Josh Addo-Carr's $400,000 deal, which runs through 2027, before he faces a possible 12-match NRL ban at the start of that season.
The 31-year-old has been called to the Eels' boardroom today after failing a preliminary roadside test for cocaine in September. He is expected to attend with his lawyers and agent, Marcel Tartak.
The meeting comes on the first day of Parramatta's pre-season training. Addo-Carr has spent the past month at a Central Coast rehabilitation centre addressing off-field issues.
A year ago, he represented Australia on the Ashes Tour of England. The 224-game NRL veteran joined the Eels in 2025 after Canterbury ended his contract in late 2024.
The Bulldogs had acted after an earlier failed roadside drug test and concerns about his transparency. Parramatta gave him another opportunity, and he has scored 27 tries in 45 appearances for the club.
Whether he will add to that total depends on the Eels' decision about his future.
