Breaking news from the Parramatta Eels camp! Another player has been let loose from the Top 30 roster, following in the footsteps of Jirah Momoisea's departure.
The club has confirmed that Ky Rodwell has been granted a release from the rest of his 2024 contract.
Rodwell kicked off his career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs Harold Matthews Cup squad, earning the prestigious title of an Australian Schoolboy back in 2016 and representing the Under-20s NSW team in 2019.
Despite his early promise, he couldn't crack into the first-grade squad with the Rabbitohs and made the jump over to the Eels.
Making his NRL debut in Round 25 of 2021 against the Penrith Panthers, Rodwell showed glimpses of potential, earning the title of the club's 2022 Rookie of the Year.
However, with only five NRL appearances under his belt for the Eels, it seems like it's time to part ways and explore new opportunities.
