The Parramatta Eels have thrown their hat into the ring in the pursuit of Dragons youngster Savelio Tamale, who has yet to make his NRL debut.

The young gun, who shone as an Under-19s New South Wales standout, is reportedly considering his future at the Red V and has caught the eye of the Eels.

Tamale, who put in a solid performance in the NSW Cup last year, averaging 130 running metres and 61 tackles per game, has not yet committed to a contract extension with the Dragons.

The Eels, known for their tenacity and grit on the field, are keen on bringing the promising talent into their ranks.

This news comes on the heels of the Eels also expressing interest in Tamale's teammate, Zac Lomax.

The Eels, with their history of nurturing young talent and pushing boundaries, have been linked to Lomax as well.

In his recent games for the Dragons reserve-grade team, Tamale has showcased his skills with nine tackle busts, an 78.3 per cent tackle efficiency, and an average of 149 metres per game.

The Eels, eager to bolster their lineup and make a splash in the league, see Tamale as a valuable addition to their squad.
