Parra have pieces in place to springboard into 2026: Pearson

Parramatta's quest for success in the NRLW heavily relies on the skills of their experienced kicker and halfback, Rachael Pearson.

After reaching the grand final in 2022, the Eels narrowly missed the 2025 finals, needing just one more win. They did, however, end the season on a high note with decisive victories: 38-4 against the Wests Tigers and 46-14 over the Bulldogs.

In a crucial match last Friday, where a win was essential for any hope of competing in the finals, Pearson showcased her talent by recording 14 runs for 123 metres, executing 12 kicks for 168 metres, scoring one try, converting four tries, making two line breaks, providing two try assists, and breaking through three tackles.

This season, the 32-year-old excelled, leading the NRLW in line engagements and attacking kicks, while placing second in kick metres with a total of 3249, behind Bulldogs No.7 Tayla Preston's 3704.
