Defending champions Penrith Panthers showcased their dominance in a 32-6 victory over the Warriors at BlueBet Stadium.
Led by James Fisher-Harris, who set up opportunities for star player Nathan Cleary, the Panthers had a comfortable 20-0 lead at halftime.
The Panthers started strong, with Cleary delivering a well-timed long pass to Moses Leota, who then sent it out to Brian To'o for his 18th try of the season.
Cleary successfully converted the try, putting Penrith in the lead 6-0.
However, the Warriors had a chance to strike back when Isaah Yeo made a mistake, but Dylan Walker's try was disallowed due to obstruction by Adam Pompey.
Despite the Warriors' efforts, Penrith continued to stretch their defense, with Dylan Edwards making a slashing run.
Unfortunately, Cleary dropped the ball, missing out on a scoring opportunity.
The Panthers capitalized on the Warriors' turnover, as Liam Martin ran into a hole off a Cleary pass, extending their lead to 12-0.
