Panthers Prowl as Origin Stars Make Their Comeback

Panthers v Bulldogs: Origin guns return; Fab four on song

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

In a critical moment for the Panthers' season, their recent victory in Auckland-despite missing five Origin stars-has propelled them to eighth place.

This win sets the stage for a high-stakes match against the Bulldogs, scheduled for Thursday, followed by a bye in Round 18 and a favorable upcoming schedule against teams beneath them in the standings, including the Eels, Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers, Titans, and Knights.

The Bulldogs, currently top of the ladder, are fresh off a bye and eyeing their first minor premiership since 2012, when they reached the grand final but fell to the Storm.

The addition of Lachlan Galvin has significantly enhanced their offensive capabilities, presenting a complex challenge for the Panthers' defense, which has been struggling, conceding an average of 22 points per game this season compared to 15 points last year during their championship run.
