Penrith Panthers fans have reason to celebrate as the club has officially re-signed fullback Dylan Edwards for an additional four seasons.

The news was confirmed on the team's official website, penrithpanthers.com.au, and has been met with great excitement among supporters.

Already committed to the Panthers for the 2024 season, Edwards will now remain with the club until at least the end of the 2028 NRL season.

This long-term extension demonstrates the faith and confidence that the Panthers have in his abilities.

Hailing from the Bellingen Dorrigo Magpies junior team, Edwards has come up through the ranks of the Panthers' development system, embodying the club's "built-from-within" philosophy.

He made his NRL debut for the Panthers in 2016 and has since become an integral part of the team.

In his first full NRL season, Edwards was honored with the prestigious 2017 Ben Alexander Rookie of the Year Award, a testament to his exceptional skills and potential.

Since then, he has amassed an impressive 127 first-grade appearances, showcasing his consistency and talent on the field.

Edwards' dedication and resilience were recognized in 2021 when he played through the NRL finals series with a broken foot.

This display of courage and determination earned him the John Farragher Award, further solidifying his status as a key player for the Panthers.

With Edwards' re-signing, the Panthers have secured a vital piece of their team for the foreseeable future.

His presence on the field, both as a skilled fullback and a leader, will undoubtedly contribute to the team's continued success in the NRL.

As the Panthers look ahead to the upcoming seasons, fans can rest assured that they have a reliable and talented player in Dylan Edwards wearing the number one jersey.
