In a dramatic twist, Panthers speedster Sunia Turuva is now gearing up to have a yak with rival NRL clubs after talks with the Penrith bigwigs hit a snag.

According to reports from news.com.au, Turuva is ready to explore his options on the open market as negotiations with the Panthers hit a roadblock.

The SMH is spilling the beans that the Panthers offered Turuva a contract worth $350,000 per season but are unable to sweeten the deal due to salary cap constraints.

With the reigning champs already securing Taylan May and Izack Tago, and extending Paul Alamoti's contract beyond 2024, Turuva finds himself at a crossroads with his future up in the air.

Rumor has it that Turuva, whose current deal runs out after 2024, could be in line to snag offers in the ballpark of $500,000 from rival clubs.

After a stellar 2023 season where he snagged the Dally M Rookie of the Year award, the 21-year-old is now setting his sights on a move to fullback, hoping to make a mark in a new position.
