In an unsurprising move, the Dolphins have confirmed their intentions to keep Tevita Pangai Junior at the club beyond the 2024 NRL season.
The forward, who briefly retired from the sport to pursue a career in boxing after a tough stint with the Canterbury Bulldogs, made a comeback with the Dolphins less than a year later.
Pangai Junior, a former State of Origin player who unexpectedly made the cut for Brad Fittler's squad last year, returned to the field after a spell in the QLD Cup and flirtations with the Brisbane Broncos.
Although his contract with the Dolphins is only for one season, the forward will be looking for a new team at the start of 2025.
