After a decade-long grudge match, James Packer and NRL powerhouse Nick Politis are finally burying the hatchet.

The once inseparable duo fell out over a betrayal, but now it seems they are slowly getting back on the same team.

According to reports from news.com.au, Packer and Politis had been estranged for more than 10 years before their recent reconciliation.

Their friendship, once as tight as a scrum, came crashing down in a bitter fashion.

But now, The Sydney Morning Herald reveals that the two titans of industry and sport are starting to mend fences, with a secret meeting in Las Vegas bringing them back together.

It was Roosters board member Mark Bouris, a key player in this play, who facilitated the meeting and convinced Packer to extend the olive branch during a high-stakes NRL event in Sin City.

The trio, like a well-coached team, gathered for a civil coffee chat at the prestigious Wynn Hotel.

It seems that this feud, much like a tense grand final match, is finally coming to an end.

Fans can only hope for a future where Packer and Politis can once again be on the same winning team.
