In the latest updates from the NZ Warriors, hooker Wayde Egan is out of today's NRL match against the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks due to an unresolved hip injury.
Egan, a veteran with 141 games under his belt, had started all 12 matches this season.
In his place, 22-year-old Sam Healey will step in, marking his second NRL appearance and first start after debuting against North Queensland earlier this season.
Healey, the son of Sharks legend Mitch Healey, aims to make an impact against his former club, having moved to the Warriors after last season in pursuit of his NRL career.
The Warriors will also face challenges without co-captain Mitchell Barnett and centre Rocco Berry, who are sidelined with injuries.
Barnett, making his 49th appearance for the team, sustained a severe knee injury that has ended his 2025 season, suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture during the previous match against the Rabbitohs.
Now, the Warriors will have to adapt their lineup against the fifth-placed Sharks, making significant changes to accommodate these losses.
