In the wake of NSW's dominant performance in the first game of the State of Origin rugby league series, a playful wager has been made between the premiers of Queensland and New South Wales.

The NSW Premier, Chris Minns, took to social media to announce that the losing premier will have to create a new tourism advertisement for the winning state.

"I'm already one up - but the stakes are certainly high.

Better start writing," he stated, tagging the Queensland Premier's account.

NSW's victory in Brisbane has made them strong favorites to win the series, with the next game scheduled for June 18 in Perth.

Despite some missed opportunities, including four conversion kicks, the Blues managed to secure a comfortable win, putting Queensland in a challenging position moving forward in the series.
