In a shocking development, there are swirling rumours about a massive shake-up in the coaching staff of the NSW State of Origin team for the 2024 series.

Two prominent figures, Gus Gould and Andrew Johns, are reportedly at the center of this speculation.

It is uncertain whether rugby league legend Andrew Johns will continue his involvement with the Blues' coaching staff for the upcoming Origin campaign.

Sources suggest that Johns has informed Brad Fittler, the current coach, about his unavailability for the 2024 season.

Fittler, who is yet to finalize his contract for next year, is expected to secure a 12-month extension next month.

Prior to this news, Fittler presented his plans for the coaching staff to the NSW Rugby League board of directors.

However, the situation took an unexpected turn when Fittler's right hand man, Greg Alexander, dropped a bombshell by announcing that he would not be returning in 2024.
