Origin Showdown: Maroons Seek Westward Victory

State of Origin Game Two: Maroons v Blues

LeagueNews.co | Robbie Hamilton

In Game Two of the Ampol State of Origin series, the Queensland Maroons are eager to keep their chances alive as the contest moves to Perth.

After winning Game One in Brisbane, the Westpac NSW Blues are poised for back-to-back series victories following their 2-1 success last year.

However, the Maroons face a historical challenge, having lost both previous games at Optus Stadium.

Coach Billy Slater remains optimistic, believing that his revamped team can overcome this disadvantage in Western Australia.

With new halfback Tom Dearden and skipper Cameron Munster leading the way, the Maroons aim to disrupt a Blues side that must adapt following a calf injury to Mitch Moses during training.
