One NZ has been a steadfast supporter of the New Zealand Warriors since 1999, maintaining its commitment even after rebranding from Vodafone NZ in 2023.
During the launch of the Warriors' 2026 season, One NZ declared that their partnership with the One New Zealand Warriors would be extended through to the end of 2031.
"For almost 30 years, we've stood shoulder to shoulder with the One NZ Warriors through the highs, the heartbreaks and everything in between," said Jason Paris, CEO of One NZ.
He elaborated, "What started as a sponsorship has grown into a partnership built on loyalty, belief and having each other's back when it matters most."
Paris noted, "The Warriors bring New Zealanders together across regions, cultures and generations. Extending for another five years is the vote of confidence in the club, the players, the fans and the future of the game in Aotearoa, New Zealand."
He added, "We're building something special with the One NZ Warriors. We're proud to keep backing them, and we want to thank the fans for backing the team and for backing us."
This relationship is unique, setting it apart from typical sports sponsorships.
Notably, in 2024, One New Zealand opted to remove its logo from the front of the Warriors' heritage jersey, allowing the team to showcase an authentic retro design reminiscent of their 1995 origins.
This rare decision by a principal sponsor underscored their appreciation for the club's heritage and the fanbase, prioritizing tradition over mere advertising visibility.
