Manly Warringah Sea Eagles forward Haumole Olakau'atu has been selected in the extended squad for New South Wales for Game 1 of the 2025 State of Origin series, according to reports from seaeagles.com.au.
The 26-year-old has demonstrated consistent strong performance throughout the first 11 rounds of the NRL season, starting every game for his team.
Olakau'atu previously made his Origin debut for the Blues during last year's series, participating in the first two games, but missed out on the squad for the decider.
Coach Laurie Daley has included one debutant in the 20-man squad for the opening game scheduled for Wednesday, 28 May at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs prop Max King, 28, is set to make his debut from the bench.
Additionally, Penrith Panthers' Isaah Yeo has been appointed as the NSW captain, making him the 22nd player to lead the Blues.
