Barry O'Farrell is poised to make a return as chairman of the Wests Tigers, alongside several recently ousted independent directors, following a decision by the club's owners to comply with NRL demands.
After ten days of turmoil within the club, the Holman Barnes Group agreed to reinstate the board members who had been dismissed last Monday.
This decision was prompted by the NRL, which encouraged the club's majority owners to reconsider their previous position after discussions with the ousted directors earlier this week.
The board members under consideration for reinstatement include O'Farrell, Michelle McDowell, Annabelle Williams, and Charlie Viola, with most anticipated to return.
The Holman Barnes Group retains the NRL license for the Wests Tigers and holds a 90% stake in the club.
For the past week, the NRL has been contemplating intervention in light of the political unrest.
The Tigers board is scheduled to reconvene on Monday, where discussions about the club's future structure will be a primary focus.
This upheaval is not expected to impact CEO Shane Richardson's decision to resign on Monday; he is not anticipated to return to his position.
