Leeds Rhinos hooker Jarrod O'Connor has secured a new two-year contract extension, ensuring his stay with the club until at least the conclusion of the 2028 Betfred Super League season.
The 24-year-old was given the number nine squad jersey for this season, having started 22 out of his 27 appearances as the team's first-choice hooker last year.
Since making his Rhinos debut in 2020, O'Connor has played in 124 matches across five seasons, scoring six tries and two goals, and participated in the 2022 Grand Final held at Old Trafford.
Reflecting on his new contract, O'Connor stated, "I am incredibly proud to play for the Rhinos and I am excited about the future for this group of players."
He added, "It is great to get the deal agreed before the season gets started and I am grateful to Ian Blease and Brad Arthur for the faith they have shown in me."
O'Connor emphasized the competitive spirit within the squad, saying, "We have got tremendous competition within the squad this season and that will only bring out the best in everyone, in training and games."
