O'Brien ponders reinforcements after Knights' nightmare

Newcastle Knights coach Adam O'Brien is considering changes after a disappointing loss to the Gold Coast Titans.

Despite an early lead, the Knights succumbed to a late comeback by the Titans, putting O'Brien under renewed pressure.

Reports indicate he may turn to the NSW Cup for reinforcement players.

O'Brien, whose contract runs until the end of 2027, faces challenges due to the financial implications of any potential coaching change.

In his post-match press conference, he reflected on the team's performance, stating, "I don't know how many options we do have in some of the areas.

First thing I'll do is go home and watch it and look at the part that I played in it and how I can help the ones that are there before I go executing them now." This indicates his focus on self-assessment and improving the existing squad before making drastic decisions.
