Penrith Panthers' major sponsor, Oak, will be stepping back from their jersey sponsorship of the club in 2026 after being a prominent feature on their playing strip since 2012.
The decision comes as Oak shifts its business direction, prompting them to end their sponsorship deal with the four-time NRL premiers.
While they will no longer be the main sponsor of the Panthers, Oak will continue to be involved in community initiatives through the Panthers Foundation.
Panthers CEO Matt Cameron expressed gratitude for Oak's support over the past 13 years, acknowledging their contributions to the team's success on and off the field.
"OAK has been an integral part of the Panthers family for the past 13 years, and we're extremely grateful for their unwavering support throughout this incredible journey.
From premiership victories to community initiatives, OAK has shared in the success both on and off the field, playing a key role in fuelling the team and strengthening the club," Cameron said in a club statement confirming the news.
It is a bittersweet moment for the Panthers as they bid farewell to a longstanding sponsor who has played a significant role in their history.
While the partnership may be coming to an end, the memories and impact of Oak's support will continue to resonate within the club.
The decision by Oak to step back from their sponsorship with the Panthers reflects the evolving nature of business relationships in sports.
As companies reassess their marketing strategies and goals, sponsorship deals may need to be adjusted or ended to align with their new direction.
Despite this change, the Panthers remain grateful for Oak's support and look forward to continuing their community initiatives with the brand through the Panthers Foundation.
