Laurie Daley has been given the green light to potentially steer the NSW Blues for a second time, with the NRL clearing him for a possible return to the coaching role.
However, the NSWRL is yet to make a final decision on who will lead the team.
Despite his desire to rejoin the Blues' setup, Daley may face a hurdle as long as he remains affiliated with the betting company TAB.
Known for reading the odds on the Matty Johns Show and hosting the Big Sports Breakfast on Sky Sports Radio, Daley will need to sever ties with TAB to be considered for the coaching position.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Daley's radio commitments won't be an issue for the NRL as long as he cuts ties with the betting company.
As long as he meets this condition, he is poised to guide the Blues once again.
With the ball now in his court, Daley awaits the final decision from the NSWRL on whether he will get the chance to lead the team back into battle on the Rugby League field.
