In the past 18 series since 2006, the Maroons have claimed victory in an astonishing 14, including a gut-wrenching run of eight consecutive wins from 2006 to 2013.
Despite the Blues' back-to-back triumphs under Brad Fittler in 2018 and 2019, the Maroons have fought back by clinching three of the last four series, with the last two going their way.
The stage is set for another epic battle between the Blues and the Maroons, with both teams eager to claim bragging rights in the fierce rivalry.
