NSW coach Laurie Daley is facing pressure from fans to make some changes to his Blues squad as Angus Crichton and Reece Robson struggle to retain their positions.
Crichton, who was player-of-the-series in last year's State of Origin, has seen a dip in form this season, failing to score any tries so far.
This has opened the door for Bulldogs player Jacob Preston, who has been in impressive form and was described as sensational in a recent game against the Sharks.
Preston's defensive efforts and strong performances have led some to suggest he could be ahead of Crichton in the race for a spot in the team.
Another player putting his name forward for selection is Warriors hooker Wayde Egan, who has been one of the most impressive players in the opening rounds of the season.
With both Crichton and Robson struggling for form and other players making strong cases for inclusion, Daley faces some tough decisions as he looks to put together a winning team for the upcoming Origin series.
