The Western Suburbs Magpies have managed to clinch their second victory of the NSW Cup season, triumphing over the Newcastle Knights 24-10 in Round 10 showdown at the iconic Lidcombe Oval.

The Magpies kicked off the scoring with Solomon Alaimalo swooping in to collect a Noah Ryan cross-field bomb and secure the first try after 15 minutes of play.

Alex Lobb's conversion made it 6-0 to Wests, setting the tone for the rest of the match.

Shortly after, the Magpies surged ahead as powerhouse forward Sione Fainu bulldozed his way over the line to further boost the home team's advantage.

Newcastle finally found their footing with Laitia Moceidreke showcasing his acrobatic skills to touch down in the left corner and put some points on the board.

However, it was the Magpies who stole the spotlight once again as makeshift five-eighth Declan Casey pulled off a spectacular no-look pass to set up Jordan Miller for his debut NSW Cup try.

With Lobb's successful conversion, the Magpies held a commanding 18-4 lead going into halftime.

The team's impressive performance on the field reflected their determination and drive to secure a well-deserved victory against a formidable opponent.
