The NSW Blues faced a challenging year in 2025, failing to secure the State of Origin shield for the second year in a row. Despite this setback, several players delivered impressive performances throughout the series.
On Monday night, the Blues held a prestigious award ceremony attended by 500 guests to recognize the players' diligent efforts while representing the sky blue team this year.
During the event, various awards were presented, with one player being honored with the renowned Brad Fittler Medal. This medal acknowledges the standout player from the three-game Origin series.
Penrith Panthers' Brian To'o was the recipient of the coveted medal, showcasing exceptional talent while donning the Blues jersey in 2025.
NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden underscored the importance of the medal, emphasizing To'o's remarkable performance throughout the season.
"The Brad Fittler Medal is always a highlight on the NSWRL calendar as it presents us with an opportunity to acknowledge the wonderful contributions that have been made across all the competitions throughout the 2025 season," Trodden asserted.
Throughout the series, To'o scored five tries, which enabled him to tie for first place on the Blues' all-time try scoring list.
