The NRL has unveiled its 2025 annual report, showcasing a remarkable surge in attendance, revenue, and overall visibility throughout the past year.
This achievement cements the NRL's reputation as Australia's premier sport, as the organization continues to excel in key performance areas.
According to a press release from the NRL, the league finds itself in its most robust financial standing ever.
A notable highlight of the report is the unprecedented revenue figure, which has soared to $845.6 million, reflecting a striking increase of $100 million compared to the previous year.
This represents a staggering 116% rise since 2016, indicating a positive trajectory for Rugby League as the NRL aims for global expansion.
The remarkable success will facilitate more opportunities for junior development and help bolster the sport's presence internationally.
ARL Chairman Peter V'landys expressed immense pride in these achievements, calling it a significant victory for the rugby league community in both Australia and the Pacific.
"The season delivered extraordinary performance outcomes for Rugby League, cementing the now established position as Australia's - and the Pacific's - number one sport," Mr. V'landys stated.
"The strategies of the Australian Rugby League Commission and strong financial management have enabled funding for Players, Clubs, States, and grassroots to continually grow, while also increasing the capacity to invest further into new revenue generating assets."
