NRL Players Face Fines for High Tackles

The Match Review Committee of the NRL has assessed four incidents from the three matches that took place on Saturday.

As a result, Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charges were issued to Latrell Mitchell, Billy Burns, Trent Loiero, and Jahrome Hughes, all during their respective games.

Loiero's third offense has led to him receiving a $3000 fine if he accepts an early plea, or he could face a two-match suspension if found guilty at a panel for his tackle on Taine Tuaupiki.

Meanwhile, Mitchell, Hughes, and Burns have been handed $1800 fines for an early plea, with the amount increasing to $2500 if they appeal and are found guilty.

Mitchell's incident occurred in the seventh minute of the Raiders vs Rabbitohs game, involving a tackle on Simi Sasagi.

Burns's tackle on Roosters forward Siua Wong happened during the Sharks' loss to the tri-colours.

The final incident of the day arose when Hughes tackled Sam Healey in the 67th minute of the clash between the Storm and Warriors.
